Honey from Asian Rock Bee (Apis dorsata), honey from Apis cerana that nests within tree cavities and between rock crevices, and honey from stingless bees. This is the diversity we showcase here, all from our network of NTFP harvesters in Chhattisgarh, Marayur, Edamalayar and Sholayar.

Pepper and coffee is grown under forest trees in our Muthuva villages.  Other forest foods included here are Queen Sago, a traditional staple across Kerala’s Western Ghats and East Indian Arrowroot, a winter delicacy.

Candied mango ginger or nutmeg, and sun-dried Mahua flowers make for a perfect bite, without making you feel guilty for they are filled with nutrients.

It is for good reason we say taste buds can be taken on a wild safari. The seasonal foods include rare wilds like Wild grapes and Shatavari.
