Wild foods

Our range of seasonal forest goodies are sure to toss up some forgotten tastes. These value-added food products are recipes or intuitive combinations borrowed from Malayar and Kadar culinary habits, making them both unusual and adventurous for people living in the urban sphere.

Candied chewies, flours, pickles and preserves are processed the way they have been, traditionally: pounded in wooden pestles, sundried, stirred slowly over a fire. Some are staples, like Cycas powder, and some a result of kitchen experiments and inspirations from Adivasi cuisine, like the Shatavari roots (wild asparagus) in honey, and fern pickle, which you will not find in a hurry.

Goes without saying that these foods are free of preservatives, artificial colour or flavouring agents. Order them quickly when they are available, since these are stocked in limited quantities. Look out for what is in season on our home page or Instagram.
