Postcard: Honey harvest

Honey hunting is a skill held by indigenous tribes across the Western Ghats. Every summer, they venture into the forest, find trees and large rock faces on which Apis dorsata hives hang high, and gather wild honey (Vanthen). They also harvest honey from Apis cerana (Kurunthen) and stingless bees (Cheruthen)
